Note to SnSt Ht 55III

[All]: Torf-Einarr (TorfEI) was the illegitimate son of Rǫgnvaldr jarl of Møre, and his father appointed him jarl of Orkney (c. 900). Some of the stanzas attributed to Torf-Einarr contain lines that are characterised by the metrical features given in this stanza (see TorfE Lv 1/1-2, 5-6I, 2/5-6I, 4/7-8I, 5/3-4I).
