This month sees the annual meeting of the project in Copenhagen, plus the finalising of the fornaldarsaga corpus for publication and also for the lexicon.
I developed a query for automatically identifying alliteration (both höfuðstafir and stuðlar), which is highly accurate for lemmatised stanzas where the höfuðstafr falls on the first word of the even line (less so for the others).
This information will help in processing and understanding variants — combined with information on rhymes it will help to categorise lexical variants as metrical or unmetrical.
