Eysteinn vas ræntr lífi austan fjarðar af liði Inga. Nús sá gramr ausinn grundu, sparr andar, austr at Forsi.
 
‘Eysteinn was robbed of his life east of the fjord by Ingi’s host. Now that lord is covered with earth, bereft of life, east at Foss.

Eysteinn Haraldsson was killed by his brother Ingi’s men on the eastern side of Oslofjorden on 21 August 1157. See Mork 1928-32, 460-2, Fsk (ÍF 29, 339-41), HsonaHkr (ÍF 28, 343-6), ESk Eystdr 2.
