The new edition is either unpublished or unavailable. The following is taken from an old edition (Skj where relevant):

Þorsteinn knarrarsmiður er maður nefndur. Hann var kaupmaður og smiður mikill, maður mikill og sterkur, kappsmaður mikill um alla hluti, vígamaður mikill. Hann hafði orðið ósáttur við konung og hafði konungur tekið af honum kaupskip nýtt og mikið er Þorsteinn hafði gert. Var það fyrir óspektir Þorsteins og þegngildi er konungur átti.

Þorsteinn var þar í hernum. Hann gekk fyrir framan fylking og þar til er stóð Þórir hundur. Hann mælti svo: "Hér vil eg í sveit vera Þórir með yður því að eg ætla, ef við Ólafur hittumst, að bera fyrstur vopn á hann ef eg má svo nær verða staddur og gjalda honum skiptökuna er hann rændi mig skipi því er eitt er best haft í kaupferðum."

Þeir Þórir tóku við Þorsteini og gekk hann í sveit með þeim.
