[2] svarri (m.): Lit. ‘noisy one’ (cf. the weak verb svarra ‘roar, rush’; AEW: svarri). According to Skm (SnE 1998, I, 107), this is a proud, haughty woman: svarri ok svarkr, þær eru mikillátar ‘svarri and svarkr are arrogant women’.
