The couplet (Anon (Mberf) 4) is preserved in mss , 39, F, E, J2ˣ and 42ˣ of MberfHkr, as well as in H, Hr (H-Hr), Mork (Mork) and FskAˣ and FskBˣ (Fsk). is the main ms.

Allengi dvelr Ingi
ofanreið inn þjóbreiði.

Inn þjóbreiði Ingi dvelr ofanreið allengi.
 
‘The broad-arsed Ingi delays his descent overly long.

notes and context

During his campaign in Sweden (c. 1100), Magnús berfœttr leaves behind troops in a stronghold by Lake Vänern under the command of the district chieftains Finnr Skoptason and Sigurðr ullstrengr Loðinsson. As they are waiting for the arrival of the Swed. king, Ingi Steinkelsson, the Norwegians recite this couplet.
