Drótt gekk sýnt á sættir, en þar fellu þrír svellendr andvǫku randar fyr þolli svells þremja, áðr Snorri, kynfrǫmuðr kvánar hreggs kœmi griðum við seggi; þat forráð fyrða gerðisk frægt.
The band clearly went back on the agreement, and three swellers of shields’ wakefulness [> battle > warriors] fell there in the face of the fir-tree of the ice of sword-edge [> blade > warrior], before Snorri, promoter of the giant-wife’s wolf-kin [> warrior], brought men to a truce; such leadership of warriors became famous.
