Elipsis tekr ór m, ef þat stendr síðarst í orði svá at raddar-stafr kemr eptir, ok er sú fígúra mjǫk í versum, en ekki finnum vér hana í nórænum skáldskap.
Ecthlipsis consists in the removal or ''m" in final position of a word, so that a vowel is final. This figure occurs in (Latin) verses, but we do not find it in Norse poetry.
