Ágætt tákn vil ek ýtum reikna
enn vorðit fyr guðs vin þenna;
seggir eyði sváfnis bryggju
senn tveim stǫðum þóttuz kenna,
víst sýndiz hann vestr á Strǫndum,
Vatsdal bygði hold et bazta,
drottinn þenna virðum veitti
