Gotnar steyptu vígðu vatni,
vann Kursa þat jartegn sanna,
inn í munn þeim unga manni;
ítarligt er slíkt at líta;
hneigir veit ek at upp lauk augum
unnar bliks með krapti miklum;
síðan stóð, svá at seggir náðu
