Steigar-Þórir’s kviðlingr ‘little verse’ (SteigÞ Kv), which is attributed to him in all mss, is transmitted in MberfHkr (mss Kˣ, 39, F, E, J2ˣ, 42ˣ) and in Ágr (Ágr), Fsk (FskBˣ, FskAˣ), Mork (Mork) and H-Hr (H, Hr). Kˣ is the main ms. The metre is háttlausa ‘lack of metrical form’ (see SnSt Ht 67III; SnE 1999, 29), a variant of dróttkvætt without internal rhyme. |
