Lofsæll, ungr Óláfr inn góði varð fyrstr at missa líf. Skatnar môttu njóta {þess sonar Magnúss} skamma stund.

The glorious, young Óláfr inn góði (‘the Good’) was the first to lose his life. People were able to enjoy {that son of Magnús} [= Óláfr] for a short time.

Notes: [All]: Óláfr Magnússon died of an illness in Trondheim on 22 December 1115 when he was 17 or 18 years old. He was buried in Kristkirken.
