Sótti til saungs þrátt
sorguð í höfuðborg
kvinna, þar er klient rann
kirkja stóð guði virk
musterið af múr gjört
Máríu og stöpull hár,
þar er barni baugnorn
bænum syrgði oft

The grieving woman constantly went to mass in the capital city, where a magnificent house, a church dear to God stood, the minster made for Mary out of stone, and a high tower, where {ring-norn} [WOMAN] often mourned with prayers for a child.
