Dr Philip Lavender (PL)

Philip Lavender has a BA and an MPhil in English Language and Literature (Medieval Studies) from Oxford University and a PhD in Nordic Philology from the University of Copenhagen. His doctoral thesis took as its subject Illuga saga Gríðarfóstra as part of the ‘Stories for All Time: The Icelandic Fornaldarsögur' project. A translation and edition of that saga has been published by the Viking Society (2015).
