and they come back to shore, where they all meet up again. — [5-6]: These lines refer to Oddr
and Ásmundr and their companions, who were already on the shore. — [7-8]: To obtain a regular line, þá has been taken as part of l. 7 (so Skj B), while Ǫrv 1888 adopts 471’s and 173ˣ’s er and construes it with l. 8. Skald emends þá to tveir (cf. NN §2604A).
