Veiztu ef ek gaf
þeim er ek gefa né skylda,

ok hefir þú þar börn of borið
ok hugða ek það args aðal.   (eddic or germanic)

(‘You know, if I gave what I shouldn’t have given,

a milchcow and a woman,
and there you bore children,
and that I thought the hallmark of a pervert.’*
