Context: In Ǫrv Angantýr speaks this stanza after hearing Hjálmarr and Oddr speak Ǫrv 9 and 10.

Notes: [All]: This stanza is not in the Heiðr mss. The versions in Ǫrv are defective. Aside from the fact that 344a introduces the prose segir hann in the middle of l. 2 and both 343a and 471 are metrically defective or absent in l. 2, there seems to be a line missing after ór hlynviði (l. 3) in all mss. After l. 6 both 343a and 471, but not 344a, have the following lines: ok farið í höll Viðris ‘and you will go into the hall of Viðrir <= Óðinn>’. Ms. 471 omits the ok. — [1] heilir ‘unharmed [men]’: The reading of 471 is preferred here to the halir ‘men’ of the other mss, because halir makes the line unmetrical, and because heilir contrasts clearly with fallnir ‘fallen’ (l. 5).
