notes: This stanza continues to follow the narrative line of the prose texts, though there is a discrepancy between the mss in the name of the Swedish king, who is Ingjaldr in 7 (Ǫrv 1888, 69) and Hlǫðver in 344a (Ǫrv 1888, 68), while the poetic texts call him Yngvi (or Ingvi or Ingi). His name is also given as Yngvi in the Hb and R715ˣ prose texts of Heiðr.
