notes: This stanza draws on a short passage in Ǫrv, which follows directly from the prose that probably relates to Ǫrv 101. In the saga (Ǫrv 1888, 66-9), shortly after the episode alluded to in st. 101, Hjálmarr invites Oddr to go with him to Sweden, but Guðmundr and Sigurðr, Oddr’s kinsmen, decide to go north to Hrafnista. In 7 Ásmundr is also of the party.
