Heiði hana hétu
hvars til húsa kom,
völu velspá,
vitti hon ganda;
seið hon kunni,
seið hon leikinn,
æ var hon angan
illrar brúðar.   (eddic or germanic)

(Bright One they called her, wherever she came to houses,*

she was always a wicked woman’s favourite.)
