Skamt leidda ek skýran
skrauta-Njǫrð úr garði;
þó fylgdi hugur hánum,
hvert sem kæmi, lengra;
munda ek leitt hafa lengra
ef land fyr ægi væri,
ok ægur marr yrði

Vánar elds at kveldi,
firn er, at fund minn girniz

gipt er gullhlaðs þopta
