Tveir menn, er berit báru, merkja tvennar þjóðir, er at váru píningu guðs sonar, þar eru gyðingar ok heiðnir menn, ok er þar icon milli jafnra kynja.
The two rnen who bore the grape signify the two peoples who were present at the passion of the Son of God, the Jews and the Gentiles, and here occurs between two similar kinds.
