meiri ertu hverjum þeira.
Hér er óeiginlig framfæring ok líking, þvíat lof er fyrir háði sett. Þessi fígúra er jafnan sett í skáldskap.
Ironia occurs when the literal meaning is opposite to the intended meaning, as in the ''Kugadrápa": [...] Here there is an illlproper transfer and comparison, since praise is used for mockery. This figure frequently occurs in poetry.
