Í stafa snúning verðr barbarismus sem hér:
Reið Brynhildar bróðir
bort sá er hug né skorti
Hér er bort sett fyrir brott ok skipt svá stǫfum, at r stendr fyrir t til þess at hendingar sé hafnhávar, ok er þetta svá í einum staf sem í samstǫfu.
Barbarismus occurs in metathesis, as here: [...] Here bort is put instead of brott, the letters being transposed so that 'r' preceded 't', thus making the rhyming syllables equal. This change concerns both letter and syllable.
