Note to stanza3. Anonymous Þulur, 19. Øxar heiti, 1 [Vol. 3, 813] [7] snaga (f.) ‘spiked one’: Most likely the same as snaghyrna (ÍO: snaga 1) or snaghyrnd øx, i.e. ‘an axe with sharply curved or hook-like points on a crescent-shaped or D-shaped blade’ (so SnE 1998, II, 397; Falk 1914b, 107-8, 202).
