Flaug, en firnabjúgir,

fjarðelds fleygi-Nirðir
fellu skjótt at velli.
Hnegg foldar flaug at seggjum, en firnabjúgir fleygi-Nirðir fjarðelds fellu skjótt at velli.
The heart of the earth [STONE] flew at men, and the overly stooping throwing-Nirðir <gods> of fjord-fire [GOLD > GENEROUS MEN] fell quickly on the field.
[1] ‑bjúgir: ‘biugri’ 743ˣ
[1] firnabjúgir ‘overly stooping’: The sense of this adj. is not entirely clear: it could mean that the men were stooping because they had already been wounded by hurled stones, or that they were ducking to avoid them. The first element of the cpd, firna- (gen. pl. of firn ‘something extraordinary’), is used as an intensifier (cf. Fritzner: firn).
