ǪrvOdd Ævdr 4VIII (Ǫrv 74)/4 — vildak ‘wanted’

Sagði mér völva         sannar rúnir,
en ek vætki því         vildak hlýða.
Gat ek fyr ungum         Ingjalds syni,
at ek föðurtúna         fýstumk vitja.

Völva sagði mér sannar rúnir, en ek vildak vætki hlýða því. Ek gat fyr ungum syni Ingjalds, at ek fýstumk vitja föðurtúna.

The prophetess told me true secrets, but I wanted to heed nothing of it. I mentioned to the young son of Ingjaldr [= Ásmundr] that I was keen to visit my father’s homestead.
