text and translation

En elding
ifla foldar
langa leið
lýsa knátti,
lofanlig
þá er litum skipti
himna sól
við hafröðul.

En {elding {foldar ifla}} knátti lýsa langa leið, þá er lofanlig sól himna skipti litum við {hafröðul}.

‘And the lightning of the land of the hawks [ARM > GOLD] shone for a long distance when the commendable sun of the heavens exchanged colours with the ocean-radiance [GOLD].
