A single lausavísa is attributed to Eindriði Einarsson (Eindr). He is one of only a few non-royal Norwegians credited with poetry in eleventh-century contexts, although his family were suspected of aspirations to royalty. According to HSig in Hkr (ÍF 28, 122), Eindriði inherited good looks from his mother’s kin, the family of Hákon jarl Sigurðarson, and stature and strength from his powerful father Einarr þambarskelfir ‘Paunch-shaker’ (?) (Eþsk; see Biography), who is credited with a short metrical utterance (Eþsk Couplet). The father and son presented such a threat to King Haraldr Sigurðarson that he had them assassinated, c. 1056 (Hharð Lv 6II; ÍF 28, 125-6).
