[2] í Þrándheimi ‘in Trøndelag’: The district Trøndelag and not the town of Trondheim (ON Kaupangr, Niðarós) is meant here (cf. Gade 1998). Trøndelag was Sverrir’s stronghold during his rather turbulent reign (see his Biography in SkP II, xci).
