[7] veiðifaung ‘catch’: The word is glossed in LP (as here) fangst (ved fiskeri) (cf. Fritzner: veiðifang), but is rendered deres fangstredskaber ‘their fishing-gear’ at Skj BII, 549 (as if veiðigǫgn?; see Fritzner: veiðigagn; cf. Matt. IV.20: retibus ‘nets’; Pétr 4/5: netin ok batinn ‘the nets and the boat’; Pétr 19/21: at fiskia menn með Kristz veiðigǫgnum til rettrar truar ‘to fish men with the fishing-gear of Christ to the true faith’).
