[8] þjokkva ‘make denser’: Lit. ‘thicken’. Hap. leg. formed from the adj. þjokkr ‘thick’. ‘One must make the forest denser with brush’ means that every warrior, no matter how insignificant, makes the army stronger, a veiled admonition to Magnús to avoid dissent among his men.
