Slóð drap svangt til grœðis,
sá vargr rekinn margan
hǫggvinn mann ór hrǫnnum,
hlaupstóð jǫtuns móður;
fœtr bar fôlu sóti
(fjǫrrán) í val grána
(áðr beið hirð fyr hauðri)
