Flóðs hafði fellda áðan
fimtán viðu mána,
tótta var Týr á sættir
trauðr, Illugi enn rauði;
heldr réð Geirr at gjalda
grimmúðigr þá rimmu,
nú fellu af veiti vella
vargfæðar jafnmargir.

(Illuge den røde havde för fældet 15 mænd; han var uvillig til forlig; i höj grad har den grumme Geir gengældt den kamp; nu faldt der ligeså mange mænd på hans side.)
