The st., Anon (Knýtl), is recorded only in Knýtl (JÓ and mss 20dˣ, 873ˣ, 20b I, 180b). JÓ is the main ms. In Skj, Finnur Jónsson suggests tentatively that the st. could have been composed by a Dane, which could certainly have been the case (see Note to SnH Lv 7/4).
